Halloween!!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I started working on a new Halloween wreath and here is my progress so far. I found something similar online and liked it enough that I wanted to make one.

I started with a styrofoam wreath and painted it black. I then cut stips of tulle and tied them around the wreath.

This is how it looks so far. I will post more pictures as I progress.

Elmer's and X-Acto

Recently I started reviewing different products. The first was Elmer's adhesive and X-Acto Scissors.

I have to say I was surprised that they worked as well as they did. Although, I do not use decorative scissors, these worked better than I thought they would. The cuts are very smooth.

The adhesive I used was the glue pen and it works well for glitter and fun flock.

Thank you....

My fur babies

It has been a while since I blogged. I thought I would start again. I am in my scrap room working on stuff, but I am not alone. I might not be able to move or do much of anything, at least I have company. They are near me all day long - LOL.

Changes

I know that I have been slacking on my blog. No more. I will start posting on a more regular basis.

I have several samples that I have been working on and I will post them tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience.

Certifications

This month has been the month for certifications. Last weekend I became MercArt Certified and yesterday I became Copic certified.

I had sent out an email that we had become the new rep group for Merc Art and they offered for us to become certified. Thank goodness I jumped on the chance. I learned a lot during the 2 day class. Talk about new possibilities for Scrapbooking and Altered Art. I had fun learning how to metal emboss. I will post some of what we did in class later.

We are also the rep group for Alvin Distributing, where you can get the Copic markers. Yes, I am now certified to "color". But seriously, I learned the how's, why's, and what's about Copics. I am hooked.

Contact me if you want further information.

Altered Frame with Farmers Market Paper

I've been working on samples for classes that I have coming up and I had all these scraps of paper. I did not want to just throw them away, so I decided to alter this wood frame.

I painted the frame first, so that I did not have the wood finish, then I added the scraps of paper. I cut the paper into 1.5 inch squares and used Modge- Podge as adhesive. One of the many ideas for Farmers Market paper - remember Debbie's contest.
